Legacy High School Lightning Bands

Marching Band

The marching band is open to students who display a highly proficient standard of music and marching performance as accepted by the instructional staff. Practices begin at the beginning of the summer and last throughout the summer. Marching season continues throughout the first nine to ten weeks of the school year. Performances for the Marching Band include but are not limited to all home varsity football games, pep rallies, parades, and marching competitions throughout the season.

Legacy Marching Band Captures CBA 5A State Championship!
The marching band and color guard performed at the CBA State Championships on October 25th. Semi-Finals competition was held at Five-Star Stadium in Thornton and Finals competition was held at Invesco Field at Mile High. The band captured First Place in Class 5A. The band also won the caption award for High Visual and shared the award for High Music with Rampart High School! Congratulations to all the students and staff for their hard work this season to put together a fantastic show. Also thanks to the many parent volunteers that support the band through the season.

Northern Regional Qualifier
The Legacy Marching Band won First Place at the Colorado Bandmasters Association Northern Regional Qualifier for the State Championships, with a strong performance of "Reflections"

Pomona Marching Festival
The Lightning Marching Band performed "Reflections" at the Pomona Marching Festival and was awarded Second Place overall at the Pomona Marching Festival, First Place in 5A classification. The band also won the Visual Performance Caption Award. Congratulations on a great performance!

Arapahoe Marching Invitational
The Legacy Marching Band captured First Place and was named Grand Champion at the 2008 Arapahoe Marching Invitational. The band also won caption awards for High Music, High Visual, and High General Effect
