| The marching band is open to students who display a highly proficient standard of music and marching performance as accepted by the instructional staff. Practices begin at the beginning of the summer and last throughout the summer. Marching season continues throughout the first nine to ten weeks of the school year. Performances for the Marching Band include but are not limited to all home varsity football games, pep rallies, parades, and marching competitions throughout the season.

Legacy Lightning Marching Band CBA Class 5A State Champions!! |
| The marching band and color guard performed at the CBA State Championships on October 20th. Finals competition was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions at Hughes Stadium, which resulted in the semi-finals scores being used to determine the championship. The band captured First Place in Class 5A. The band also won caption awards for High Music, High Visual and High General Effect! Congratulations to all the students and staff for their hard work this season to put together a fantastic show. Also thanks to the many parent volunteers that support the band through the season. |

CBA Northern Regional Qualifier Results |
The marching band performed at the CBA Northern Regional Qualifying competition on October 10th. The band won awards for the most improved band and also captured first place in the Northern Regional Qualifying event.

Pomona Marching Festival Grand Champions! |
| The marching band performed at the Pomona Marching Festival on October 6th. The band and color guard were awarded caption awards for High Visual, High General Effect and captured first place at the Pomona Marching Festival. Arapahoe Marching Invitational Grand Champions! |
The marching band performed at the Arapahoe Marching Invitational competition. Their performance of "Elements" won awards for High Visual, High Music and High General Effect in both the Prelims and Finals competition. The band was named Grand Champion of the event! Colorado State Parade of Honor
The Marching Band and Color Guard participated in the Colorado State Parade of Honor. The parade was organized to show support for our active military as well as our veterans, law enforcement, and firefighters. This was the inaugural parade which organizers hope to make an annual event.

2007 Marching Season!
The Marching Band and Color Guard kicked off the 2007 marching season with the first performance of "Elements" during halftime of the Homecoming game. "Elements" featuring "Fire, Wind, Wood, Metal, Water and Mankind" is a new Mark Higginbotham original composition |
